Smokey, hazy skies during your photo shoot? Not with our Everyday Blue Sky Replacement!

Smokey, hazy skies during your photo shoot? Not with our Everyday Blue Sky Replacement!
September 12, 2024 Sierra Freeman

Can I still proceed with my shoot if it’s smokey?

We don’t let bad weather hold us back from getting the perfect shot, so YES, even if it’s hazy and smokey, we can still take photos of your listing. We use advanced post-production techniques to enhance the colors and even add our Everyday Blue Sky Replacement, making it seem like the sun is shining all year round in the Bay Area. Please note that while we can enhance views by replacing smokey skies with blue skies, we cannot recreate skylines or add missing elements. So, if a property has a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge but it is obscured by smoke during the photoshoot, we won’t be able to add it in later. Please also keep in mind that this kind of post-production, blue sky magic is only available for photos and not for videos.

What is the best way for me to monitor the weather?

The best defense is a good offense. You can help prevent last minute cancellations and reschedules (and last-minute fees!) by keeping an eye on the weather and letting us know at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. Check out this list of the best weather apps to get a better idea of the conditions at your listing during your appointment: Plus, here’s a little secret; our Customer Support team and our photographers often use live weather cameras to help us gauge the weather. These are free for all and are a great tool! 1. Lawrence Hall of Science 2. Belvedere Cove, Belvedere Tiburon 3. San Francisco Skyline from the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Hotel 4. Ocean Beach 5. Stanford Stadium To search for a live weather camera closer to your property, try searching “live weather camera [Name of City]” for more specific results. If you’re booking more than 2 weeks in advance, you can use these apps and cameras to track the weather in your area. We have a very flexible, competitive reschedule policy which allows you to rebook this appointment with no fee up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled shoot. However, if you have to cancel or reschedule on the day of your shoot, we’ll have to charge our $150 cancellation fee since we’ve already accommodated your shoot based on our current schedule and we will pay our photographers for the canceled shoot.

Are Aerial Services included in this inclement weather policy?
